Privacy
Your data is an amaanah
Your data is a trust. DailyDeenHub does not require an account and never asks for your name, email, or phone number. There are no ads, no trackers, and we do not sell personal data.
On your device: your settings — language, theme, location, calculation method, reminder preferences, prayer tracker, and tasbih count — are stored in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. The one exception is the optional Prayer alerts feature (see below).
Prayer times calculated on your device: DailyDeenHub calculates prayer times and the Hijri date directly on your device, using the location and time zone you selected.
Location: used only to calculate prayer times and qibla direction. The qibla bearing is computed on your device. When you pick a place, "Use my location" or "Find nearby", the services listed below receive the coordinates they need to answer.
Third-party services (only when you use the feature):
- Prayer times (Aladhan): when online, prayer times are fetched from api.aladhan.com for your coordinates.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which features they use. It collects anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate country, device type) using cookies. We do not use it for advertising, and it never receives your prayer settings or exact location.
- City search (Open-Meteo): when you search for a city or use "Use my location", your search text or coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo's geocoding API to find the place name and time zone.
- Qibla map (OpenFreeMap): the map page loads map tiles from tiles.openfreemap.org, which can see your IP address and the area you view. The map library and fonts are hosted by us.
- Audio (Quran radio and recitations): audio streams from qurango.net and quranicaudio.com, which can see your IP address while you listen.
- Find nearby (OpenStreetMap): when you search for mosques, halal restaurants or halal markets/butchers, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Overpass API to find nearby places. We do not store them.
- Watch Live (YouTube): the live streams are embedded from YouTube (youtube.com). When you open them, YouTube/Google may see your IP address, as with any embedded video.
- Feedback form (FormSubmit): if you send feedback, your message — and your name and email if you choose to share them — is sent to us through FormSubmit's service. We use it only to read and respond to your feedback.
- Quran (Quran.com): when you open the Quran reader, verses are fetched from api.quran.com. No personal data is sent.
- Verse voice search (Google): if you tap the microphone to find a recited verse, your voice is transcribed by Google's speech recognition service. The transcription is only used to search for the verse.
- Library (external books): book links in the Library open Diyanet, Internet Archive, or IslamHouse in your browser. Like any site you visit, they can see your IP address.
- Donations (Stripe): if you choose to support us, your donation is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Cards and photos: greeting cards are composed on your device. If you add your own photo to a card, it never leaves your device unless you choose to share the finished card.
Custom sounds: an uploaded alert sound is stored in your browser only.
Prayer alerts (optional): if you turn on "Prayer alerts", your browser creates a push subscription and we store it on our server (Cloudflare) together with your prayer settings — location coordinates, timezone, calculation method, and reminder times — so reminders can reach you even when the tab is closed. No account, name, or email is collected. Turn alerts off in Settings at any time to delete your subscription from our server.
